Leisure activities during your holiday
Guests of all ages will find something to enjoy at Alfsee. Water lovers can relax in the beach area by the lake with its sandy shore or have fun in the water park. Three water ski lifts offer ideal conditions for everyone from beginners to professionals. Alternatively, explore the Germanic Adventure World, the Bullermeck Indoor Fun Center, the Alfseering go-kart track, the Alfsee Adventure Land with its circular maze, and the children's car park. Events on the Piazza, such as the 24-hour mountain bike race, are sure to draw a crowd. Families can enjoy their vacation at the various playgrounds and have fun with Clown Ati.
But the region itself also offers a wealth of activities: swimming pools like Varus Therme or Nettebad, swingolf, a climbing park, museums, and the Peace City of Osnabrück are all within easy reach. In the immediate vicinity of Lake Alfsee, the Germanic tribes defeated the Roman army in the famous Battle of the Teutoburg Forest in 9 AD. The Kalkriese Museum and Park recount this event. Countless magnificent half-timbered farmhouses characterize the Artland region to the north. The Clothmakers' Museum brings the history of clothmaking to life.
