The family-friendly campsite at Alfsee opened in 1980 and has been continuously developed with love, dedication, and innovative ideas ever since. Its first-class facilities, including state-of-the-art sanitary facilities, attractive surroundings, and diverse leisure activities have made it one of the most popular campsites in Northern Germany. Our primary goal is to offer our guests a thoroughly enjoyable family camping experience through the excellent maintenance of all facilities. This high level of comfort is complemented by a wide range of sports and leisure activities. Whether you're coming with a caravan or looking for a tent pitch for your camping trip with children, our family campsite is perfectly equipped to meet all needs and wishes. The Star Garden and Sun Garden areas offer equally ideal conditions for camping with children.
The foundation stone for the Alfsee Holiday and Adventure Park was laid in the Sternengarten (Star Garden). Since then, we have continuously maintained and modernized it. Tall hedges and trees provide shade and offer your family a comfortable retreat. Three modern sanitary blocks are available for family camping. The main building was newly constructed to the highest standards in 2022. You can enjoy your holiday with children in a cozy atmosphere, with most pitches offering direct water and sewage connections. The large playground provides plenty of space for your children to play freely and without worry. The Sternengarten also offers a children's sanitary facility and bookable family bathrooms.
At Sonnengarten, you'll camp on an open, spacious, and sun-drenched site. The grassy pitches are generously sized and equipped with direct water and sewage connections. In the sanitary building, you have the option of booking a private bathroom – a rental bathroom with its own shower, toilet, and sink. A children's bathroom and a baby bathroom are also available. Within the Sonnengarten grounds, there is also an unparceled area for caravans and motorhomes where you can book a pitch. Or, travel without your own equipment and rent one of our caravans for your individual camping experience with children.

The extensive entertainment program with countless activities will make their eyes light up. Seven playgrounds alone provide plenty of stimulation, variety, and curiosity during your camping trip with children, offering something exciting to discover time and time again. There's also an indoor playground nearby with its special attractions. And when Clown Ati gets the children involved, laughing, and clapping along with his entertainment, it's pure family holiday bliss: happy children and relaxed parents.
What could be more exciting for young water lovers in summer than fun and adventure in the water! You'll find ideal conditions for this when camping with children at Alfsee. The lake offers something for every age to enjoy summer, sun, or a refreshing dip: shallow water for non-swimmers, a beach for building sandcastles, a large water park – and of course, a large swimming area.

Is there a playground at Alfsee?
There are a total of 7 playgrounds. These include the Germanenland adventure world with a large water playground, and the low ropes course with a zip line and bouncy castle. Several playgrounds are also located near the pitches.
Is there a kitchen or microwave?
A kitchen or microwave is available in our rental properties. There is no kitchen in the sanitary facilities surrounding the pitches.
Are the leisure facilities included?
Partly. Our animation program, the "Kuddel-Muddel-Land" (a play area), and the playgrounds are included. Leisure activities such as water skiing, the maze, or Bullermeck (a traditional game) are subject to a fee. Many of our partners offer discounts for overnight guests. Learn more about the guest card
Is Alfsee child-friendly?
Yes, we even hold the "Children's Holiday Land" award. The campsite at Alfsee specializes in catering to families, offering a wide range of activities for children. Children's bathrooms in the sanitary facilities, diverse playgrounds, and recreational opportunities make the Alfsee Holiday and Adventure Park a paradise for families.
Are children allowed in the sauna?
Yes, of course, accompanied by a supervisor.
Does the beach at Alfsee slope gently?
Yes, the Dubbelausee is the bathing lake at the Alfsee. It has a spacious non-swimmer area, partially separated by jetties. Children as young as four can also enjoy the water park. (To the mini-park)
