Leisure activities in the Osnabrück region

Nestled in the heart of the Osnabrück region lies one of Germany's largest nature parks, with over 70% forest cover. The Osnabrück region is rich in flora and fauna. While the southern and eastern parts of the region are characterized by the hills of the Teutoburg Forest and the Wiehen Hills, the north features beautiful parkland, river meadows, and moorlands. The Artland region in the northern part of the Osnabrück district, in particular, is known for its traditional farmsteads and half-timbered houses.
