The Alfsee Holiday and Adventure Park is setting new sails for sustainable development! Throughout 2025, as the pilot project of the Osnabrücker Land networking concept within the LEADER region, we conducted a potential analysis for sustainable tourism. A key objective was the creation of a sustainable development concept for Alfsee. The aim is to further develop socio-cultural meeting point responsible tourism . The Alfsee destination will be further tailored to specific target groups, and intergenerational tourism in harmony with nature and the environment will be strengthened. The findings, as well as the theoretical and practical planning and implementation processes, are intended to serve as a model and can be transferred to other leisure destinations in the region, thus promoting holistic sustainable tourism in the Osnabrücker Land To this end, we worked closely with various leisure organizations in the area, the municipality of Bersenbrück, and the communications agency Pro-t-in from Lingen to analyze our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and to realign and improve our sustainability efforts.
