Rieste at the Alfsee is located in southwestern Lower Saxony, about 30 km north of Osnabrück and 90 km south of Bremen. Coming from the south or north, the quickest way to travel is to take the A1 motorway to the Neuenkirchen-Vörden exit. From here, head in the direction of Bersenbrück and follow the signs in the direction of Alfsee-Rieste in the village of Stickteich.
